Setsubun is coming soon, which means the first day of Spring is just around the corner. If you like to follow seasonal kimono guidelines, here are some of my general thoughts as you start to pack winter outfits and start to shop for spring. In February, plum blossom and apricot motifs are popular. You'll start seeing more purple and crimson, especially white kimono outside with red lining inside.
Thinking of spring more generally, there are more colors with springtime floral patterns; You'll see more white, green, purple and red, but also pale yellows and pinks.
